Discovering the Goudy Legacy
Come join us for a lecture, discussion and exhibit of the Goudy’s work. Learn about the impact this duo had on the state of the art of graphic communications, printing, type design and typography. Take a personal look at how they lived, entertained and worked together. Dozens of rare books, broadsides and letters will be provided for viewing.

From 12:00 to 3:00 the Book Arts League will have their Open House and Sale
Come visit the Ewing Farm, home of the Book Arts League, for Letterpress demonstrations and refreshments. Watch the presses in action, participate in book arts demos, shop for gifts, meet members of the BAL.
Followed by the first ever Movie Night from 3:30-5:30.
Come join your friends and fellow book arts lovers at the first ever book arts movie night. We’ll be projecting a classic movie that covers some of the most interesting aspects of the book arts and related fields. This time we’ll be showing Helvetica, “Helvetica is a feature-length independent film about typography, graphic design and global visual culture. It looks at the proliferation of one typeface (which recently celebrated its 50th birthday in 2007) as part of a larger conversation about the way type affects our lives. Helvetica has been shown at over 200 film festivals, museums, design conferences, and cinemas worldwide” Co-sponsored in part by ScriptaLab at the University of Colorado Boulder Libraries, scriptalab.org .
